If this gen is really going to last longer, and Xbox Series get some strong exclusives along the way, then it can beat the Xbox One without any problems, since it never really took off.

Starfield is probably the most important Xbox Series release as it could move several million consoles.

What about Hellblade 2? Do you think it has potential?

It might move some consoles, but I don't think it would be a lot by itself. The stronger lineup of games for 2023 should move consoles. Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush, Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends are confirmed first-party Xbox releases for 2023 (as long as none get delayed) that I can recall off the top of my head.

Starfield will move consoles by itself, while the rest I can see together moving consoles. If that makes sense.

XS not looking healthy right now.
There's still time to turn it around, PS3 and 3DS showed this can be done, but they need to really lift their game in the coming years, or they're headed for the same rut they got stuck in with the Xbone.

It's still increasing it's lead over the Xbox One overall but very slowly for sure. I expect it to increase it's lead against it this year more though.

PS5 should start closing the gap in earnest this year. It might even take the lead if shortages don't prevent it.

Typo unless there have been some huge adjustments in the past few days

for this time last gen, the XB/PS gap was around 16m+ where as this time it is 10m+. XB can thank mfg issues for that gap not being even bigger but they will soon see it get bigger rather quickly unless they can get some games out.
