How many units do you think GTA 6 will sell by end of 2027? (assuming it's really releasing November 2026).

The game is scheduled for release this fall, and will be on both PS5 and Xbox. By the time of release PS5 should be at no less than 100M and the Series at 35M. So the game is launching on install base of over 135M players which will only grow heading into 2027.

The initial install base will be lower than GTA 5 had and it won't get a boost from a gen 10 console version next year but I expect the PC version to be out next year which would make up for those things at least some. Since it'll be the biggest video game launch ever I'll go with somewhere in the 40's.

If the total install base between the two platforms is 135 million, then I'd say GTA VI will sell about 50 million copies on launch day, 100 million on launch weekend, and a billion by the end of 2027.
