I'm surprised DKCR actually took the top spot over Mario Party J. Switch hardware is the lowest it's been yet this year. Is this a sign of things to come or will sales be up again next week?

Shueisha? Is that the same Shueisha from the manga comics and magazines? Are they developing games or only publishing?

Drop in sales is expected after 8 years. 

The surprise is that the sales are still at that level these days. If nintendo doesn’t discontinue the switch due to strong sales even with the 2 being released and ps6 being released, that’ll be funny to see, switch seeing ps4, 5 and 6 while outselling all combined (at least in japan).

So Switch 1 continues its slow but steady drop this week, just barely above 40k.
Next week will probably be its first sub-40k week of the year and it’ll hang around that 30-40k range for at least until the Switch 2 Direct.

It may go back above 40k for major stuff/releases like the Pokemon Presents or Xenoblade X, but we’ll see.

The variance in hardware performance isn't enough to make anyone go WOW, but this has been more or less steady since the Holiday season ended.

DKCR HD taking the top spot to Mario Party Jamboree ... Not what I expected.

Will be interesting to see Switch sales the coming months, Switch won't have many new releases, PS5 gets MH Wilds as well as Nintendo starting to market Switch 2. We could start seeing Switch sell 20k-30k every week pretty soon in Japan.

Seems as though Nintendo is content to let Switch cruise now that the successor is imminent.
It's next major release, Xenoblade X, isn't for another month, and after that the slate is currently blank.

Why is PS4 still tracked ? We are 2025 .. 3 years after it's full discontinuation worldwide, and by the year's end it will be 12 full years after it's release.

The PS4 has not been discontinued.
