Taketwo stated that the Netflix deal is an effort to reach more casual players who may not buy day one. I think this is a brilliant plan. Netflix has incredible casual reach. It includes millions upon millions who aren't perpetually online in core gamer circles. My expectation is that preorders will explode after the premiere.

Extended trailer has aired and it looks amazing. It looks like a game that cost a billion dollars to make. The Netflix special was intended to reach non core gamers who, in Rockstar's words, would not usually be day one buyers. I will be interested to see if this does anything to preorders.

It does look great but there is a lot of micro stutters in this build running in the base PS5.

The many leaks that happened in the last 10 days showcased it way better IMO, it's actually really insane what they are able to pull, truly a high bar raise once again.

That being said, screw them and their digital only shit.

At least on the stream I watched it, it looked like running in 30fps for sure, and even dropping below that from times to times. Alongside dynamic resolution which looked like 720p at places! And this was PS5 footage. Let alone how this game will run on the Series S .. Hope the final product will be in better shape, or maybe the stream I watched was somehow very bad.

As much as it annoys me they did this, rockstar knows all the day one buyers of GTA 6 will watch this no matter where they put it and still buy the game.

Looking at the recent Amazon figures, GTA 6 has a PS5:Xbox ratio of 3:1 which is right in line with suspected console sales ratios. The caveat is that this is just for last 30 days and doesn't give the full picture (of course)

Amazon US? Because if so, the ratio is much higher worldwide.

Another good point.  Yeah you are right.  I was trying to make the IGN affiliate code 6:1 (or whatever it was) make sense and getting 3:1 seemed to conflict with that report but you are right... these are only US numbers.  Maybe that the IGN numbers more merit.  That being said, GTA is still a top game on Xbox so I wonder why the number are as lopsided as they are.  Maybe its the marketing?  Also, I wonder if Series S users are waint to see how it turns out there (as they make up a large portion of the Series users).

I dunno if it is higher enough to be 6:1, but it's definitely well above 3:1 if that is the real ratio for the USA.

I would expect it to be around 5:1 and beyond myself, but as times pass by, not right into day 1, day 1 should definitely put numbers closer to each other, as the volume is insanely high because of hype but then it should settle mostly in 1 platform with time. Kinda surprised it can already be around that 5:1 mark during pre-orders tbh.
