GTA 6 is a sequel, while good won't give the PS5 the boost that's more than Metroid Ravenous and Zelda OOT remake can give to Switch 2. Even with the price increase, Switch 2 might sell 19 millions units this year alone. Sony became greedy and mismanaged by trying to become americanized. Their games are no longer inspiring, just very violent and sell to people that are in their late 20s. Those will struggle in the job market this year, no way they will spend lots of money on gaming.

You shouldn't change, We don't know how many units will GTA 6 move and it makes this interesting. Switch will probably outsell the PS5, which should be a huge achievement in the year of GTA 6. But if you move the goalpost, what is actually being compared? How great is the Switch 2 doing compared to how bad the industry is?

Putting a little more of a fight from the other side .. and at least having a real chance to win, unlike PS5 alone.

Since the previous two polls were with 100 or over votes, I will need a little more, to make a final decision.
So whoever hasn't, please vote. Should I change it to Switch vs everything else combined in 2026, or not ?

No.  It should stay the same. In the end other consoles don't have a large influence on the results.  Plus there is still a chance that the PS5 may be able to produce enough to win by itself.  I maintain like other analysts that Sony is likely to sale whatever it can supply.  And thats the biggest question here.

Yea, the comparison in the original post was updated. Switch 2 is now 2.5M ahead of PS5 .. and I can't see how this will shrink by end of the year ..

I think the PS5's only hope is that Switch 2 sales drop hard once the global price hike occurs in September.  Problem is, there's a possibility that the PS5 price increases further this year as well.

If Nintendo is smart, they will offer a bundle with Switch Sports Resort for $529.
