Sony has updated its official PlayStation sales page listing the sell-through (sold to consumers) figures they have announced, as well as sell-in (shipped) figures. Sadly, still no PS Vita sales figures. https://sonyinteractive.com/en/our-company/business-data-sales/

PS5 was down a lot but had an incredibly February last year and is basically matching the equivalent month for the PS4 so is still really well though it probably would've done somewhat worse without Helldivers 2. Switch only being down 15% is good and Xbox Series is down a similar amount as the PS5 though unlike that its February last year wasn't anything special so a drop that big is really bad. I wonder if the exclusives debacle contributed to it at all.

Also it's noteworthy that despite Xbox doing worse than last time Playstation isn't doing any better so PS+Xbox is surely losing some people to other platforms like PC.

I don't get why Sony doesn't reveal the PS2's full sales numbers and just leaves it at the 2012 figure even though it still sold til 2013.

I get Sony probably did it at the time to make PS3 annual sales numbers in 2012/2013 look better by combining the PS2 sales with the PS3's sales and not revealing the number of PS2's sold, but we're well past that point when the PS3's numbers already been confirmed at this point. It wouldn't hurt Sony at all to reveal that the PS2 sold higher than its 155M figure, not sure why they're still so secretive about it, if anything it'll help their case as the bestselling console ever especially with the Switch now potentially coming close to that 155M figure.

I agree.

They also need to update and confirm the PSP ones (82.5M), the PS3 ones (yes, I am sure that till the end of 2017 and even maybe 2018 there were some more units sold such maybe to round it to 87.5M or even 88M, the PS4 ones, since again there were sold units in the second half of 2022, 2023, and even some now in 2024.

~1.7m sell-through for Switch in 2024 is a good start, on pace to reach 2.5m for the first quarter. There will be tougher months for comparison ahead (the TotK period in particular), but if Switch will be down ~25% for the whole year, that will still be a good result, especially considering its age. VGC has Switch at 16.3m for 2023, so -25% for 2024 are 12.2m.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Looks like the Americas and worldwide March estimates will be delayed until the beginning of May with March NPD/Circana not being posted until May 1.

For situations like these I want back the weekly comparisons .. or at least monthly estimates you did before, when NPD reports weren't still avaiable, so that the numbers are out when it's right, not a full month later .. In may we get for march ..

Let aside the stupidity of NPD counting the first 6 days of April as a march week ..
