Totally agree on this. India can soften the YoY drop the Switch will have from 2027 and beyond, leading it closer or actually at the 160M number. Although it is available on the grey market, being officially released will make it easier for more people to get a Switch. I live in Brazil and Nintendo didn't release the Switch here officially until 2020. Before that, we had the console beind sold in grey market, but starting from 2020, I see way more people having Switches. Let's not forget that India has wayyy more people today than during the PS2 era. More people, more kids, more potential Switch owners

In the EU Nintendo will need to revise the console or sunset it by 2027:

I don’t see Nintendo revising the switch at this point in its life. Perhaps the shift to India will compensate for the sunsetting in EU, regardless with the EU battery law and the price increase i am sticking to below 160 life time.

Also some info in the India rumor might be outdated as the price for the official India launch is lower than the new increased price in Japan which just don’t add up.

At the very least sales predictions should remain the same or projected down considering all the info above.

9.5k this week in Famitsu for Switch 1 before the price hike goes into effect next week. The numbers will likely be lower next week as well because of the price. So if that's the case, we are looking at around ~100Kish a month from June onwards for Switch 1.

Still possible but don't hold your breath because even if it does happen it's going to take very long. Like at least another 3 years maybe 4.
