You should update the LTD Total in the Switch's FY09 column. It's still 155.37 |
Thanks, Fixed.

The price increase of the Switch 2 will help the Switch 1!

Weren't we supposed to not talk about this system here ?

Nintendo wants people in the NS2 ecosystem, so I'm not surprised they're pulling this sort of stunt. Only people negatively affected by this are the enthusiasts who simply want to say "King Nintendo Switch 1!". |
King Nintendo Switch 1 will not refuse to die.
we are just in May, 4 million more here we go!

I say Nintendo should discontinue NS2 for a few months, sign an agreement with Rockstar for GTAVI exclusivity on NS1 during the months between August 2026 and July 2028, and watch NS1 coast to 170M. That or Nintendo should produce 5M systems, cease production, and just distribute the remaining 5M systems for the remainder of the system’s lifecycle.
OR they could do a NS1 Home Edition at a $50USD price tag. I think that’d help get Switch 1 up to 160M.

Or simply cut the price by 100$ for all models, and succeed in selling 4M more.

The price increase for the Switch 1 models is bigger than the price increase for the Switch 2. Proportionally the price gap between SW1 and SW2 has shrunk.
Heck the increase for the OG and Lite models is bigger than the 30% increase PS5/XSX have had since launch.
Damn, looks like it's gonna fall just short.
Still, it's been a fun ride.
The Switch is still the cheapest console on the market and still has games releasing on it, so I imagine it has at least 2 more years before being discontinued. This FY they're expecting 2 million (that's 1 year) and next year will most likely be 1 million, and after that I think they'll cut it off. If somehow it has a small late resurgence due to it's price point then I can see it pass 160 million, but we'll need to see how it goes for this year.
