Is anyone able to confirm if this is just a US issue or if Pro is sold out worldwide? I think this will give us better insight into what is actually happening. If its worldwide, then its definitley caused by GTA. If its just the US, then it could be a supply issue that is exacerbated by GTA and the shortage itself.

Here in Bulgaria it's available in full quantities from the two biggest stores, however the country is small, and it's not a factor for Europe.

I did a quick search at the Brazilian store where I purchase my PC components, and I could find it available.

It's also available at Amazon here in Brazil too. For the exact same price.

Even as the price increase was not proportional to how much it was in the USA, it's consistently not getting the same good deals as it did before too.

When it was 7000, I could find it between 5500 and 5800 all the time, now that's 7500 it pretty much just doesn't go under 7000 anymore.

Can't really blame them on this one.

First of all, they probably thought that RAM and NAND prices are coming down by 2027, meaning it wouldn't have been wise to buy too many overpriced components (in hindsight they fucked up, because component prices continue to rise. But this assumes "buying more" was an option).

Secondly, they surmised that not even GTA6 could sell that many PS5's so late in the generation and at such high prices. I heard that they were willing to ship comparable numbers to last year's, which is reasonably high.
