Why is the November Europe data taking so long to be released? Any difficulty in getting data?

Europe reports unfortunately didn't come out prior to xmas this year, so we would only have very partial data to go on right now.

I'm hoping that the data will be released later this year. It would be very bad if they were only released next year.

Afaik:

VGChartz processes data taken from GamesIndustry.biz.

Appearantly though, when it comes to the November data, GamesIndustry announced their published November data didn't include the entire last week, or so called Black Friday week.

The entire Black Friday week was now being shifted into the December data.

Which will now not only lead to unusual low high numbers comparatively with last years November data, but also to unusual higher numbers for the first week of December.

Furthermore, GamesIndustry didn't release any new data for the yet to be released Black Friday week until last Monday, December 23rd.

As of now, at least in terms of data, we're sitting somewhat during this holiday period, when there will be hardly any new data between the days.

You never know ofc, but it's highly likely we won't see any new data until at least next week, maybe even well into January.

We will definitely not be putting Black Friday week into December for our figures xD

So we don't need to wait for December data to finalise November, but we do need the November Europe report.

It's January 3rd and sales haven't been announced yet.

Generally speaking, people don’t work during holiday season in most of Europe. It’s a time to relax and ignore the usual schedule without worry or stress. Unless you’re in retail or essential services. This year, it runs until January 6th (again, unless you’re in retail or essential services). But relax, and don’t worry. Things will return sooner or later.

I don’t know the usual loop of things (someone might know better) but it’ll likely be in the next coupes of weeks.

Generally speaking, people are simply lazy and did nothing entire December, and will do nothing for the first week of January too. The holidays are just an excuse, and the truth is they can't do a simple work, like put the damn numbers out, the way it should always be, the first days of December releasing them for November, and the first few days of every month releasing them for the previous one. I don't care about excuses, that is the way it should be done. This is just a data, it can't take so long, to write down some numbers, or for all the stores send their data to that one company who is doing the report.
