I think the best is...

OG Xbox 9 19.57%

Xbox 360 35 76.09%

Xbox One 0 0%

Xbox Series 2 4.35%

Total:46

360, easily.

Again 360 but after this generation is done it might be the Series X, even if some of those exclusives go to PS5 it looks mighty strong for a partially failing system.. In a 360, ps3 style battle when even distribution of users and a battle of exclusiv3s, it'd be holding it's own.

I dunno, I feel like the 360 generation was so much better than the current one, mostly cos there were just more big games as they didn't take so long to make, plus there was less exploitative shit like microtransactions, games weren't so watered down to appeal to the broadest possible audience, etc.

The Series X has been out for 4 years now and still has relatively few standout games.

I'm mainly making the point from the perspective of the end of life of the console and on what they've announced and if it were the case that everything remained exclusive. Rose tinted glasses though, there was a lot of let downs on 360 like perfect Dark which they seem to be on the road to rectifying. Could be completely wrong. Hope I'm not. Plus there's a very real possibility we could see PS games on Xbox.

OG Xbox was a cool debut system some some neat exclusives but yeah 360 was amazing. Post 360 Xbox has been explosive diarrhea enough to propel them into the clouds. May explain their decision-making. Lack of oxygen. SX is good hardware but has almost no reason to exist with no exclusives.

Isn't this pretty straightforward? The most powerful console is the best one, because it can do everything better than the other ones. It's not the console's fault if there doesn't happen to be good or beloved games in a certain generation.

I'd argue that the purpose of a console is to play games, so the best console is the one that had the best games.

I mean, the original Xbox was more powerful than the PS2, yet many consider the PS2 to be the better console, for instance, ditto for N64 being more powerful than PS1 but many preferring Sony's system.

Well, by that logic Xbox Series X/S is easily the best Xbox. It's the most powerful and when we look at digital games it has the most in its library from Series versions, near-universal backwards compatibility with Xbox One, hundreds of Xbox 360 games, and dozens of Xbox games.

But from what I've seen on this forum and other websites...

Xbox 360 is the most beloved because of its strong library of exclusives and multiplats and how it innovated the industry (it did in some mixed to bad ways as well, but there were good innovations).

Xbox gets a lot of love for its specs and online at the time, Halo, and KOTOR.

Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S are pretty interchangeable in reception. Series X/S largely makes Xbox One redundant, but PC makes Series pretty redundant to begin with. Xbox One can act as a passthrough for cable and other devices and has Kinect 2.0 but I don't think the people choosing it over Series X/S picked it for that.

Games make a console. Otherwise, it's a useless box.
