@XtremeBG, 2024 PS5 did end up beating 2019 Switch post adjustments.

Looks like I slightly lowballed PS5, moderately lowballed Switch, and moderately highballed Xbox Series X/S.

PS5 has been the most predictable console in terms of sales. We more or less know it will sell similar to PS4 even by the end.

Switch is really old but still kicking. 

Even with Xbox Series starting to have warning signs by early 2024, I didn't seem them as enough. I suppose I thought Microsoft would make and sell enough of them, but alas.

Lifetime Sales Predictions 

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 40 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

It's likely all three end up being down this year. Xbox Series has Activision Blizzard games being added to Game Pass and hopefully a better received game lineup to help it be closer to 8m than 7m but even with that I wouldn't be surprised if it's still down a tad.

I was expecting below 18m after a middling few months and after November was expecting above 19m but in the end I was pretty spot on with the PS5 with my first prediction it seems. The Switch was a fair amount off due to me expecting the Switch 2 to have released by November so that isn't too bad but man I really overestimated the Xbox Series and my prediction for it wasn't even above average or anything like that, it just did really badly last year so basically everyone overestimated it. Overall I think my predictions for 2024 held up alright.

Also are you gonna do a thread like this for 2025 @XtremeBG?

In the end I wasn't spot on with the PS5 but only 1m off isn't bad at all so that doesn't change the overall picture much.

Well I wasn't being exact with it. By 18M I basically meant the overall million, not exactly 18m so anywhere from that to 18.9m.

PS5 and Switch are almost spot on, Switch sold 800k more and the PS5 650k, but the first 2 digits were correct.

XBOX I overestimated, but I think nobody expected the console to falter that much last year...
