Forums - Sales - Famitsu Sales: Week 12, 2026 (Mar 16 - Mar 22)

So the PS5 will be getting another price increase though something notable is the Japanese exclusive digital model is staying the same so Sony must be losing a ton of money on each of those sold now. It makes sense though since they don't sell that many of them so that hit is worth it to prevent Playstation sales from completely dying in Japan. It'll still take a hit though since sales of the regular model and the Pro are gonna get even lower soon.

The Japanese exclusive PS5 digital one is 55k Yen. That specific one is staying the same for now.

A -2% hold on Pokopia is pretty freakin amazing when it's selling over 100k per week.

I don't ever recalling such a hold for a game on the Famitsu charts. This has to be a rare occurrence.

I seem to recall Animal Crossing having legs like this for a large portion of 2020.  And that is very good company to be in.

Is the Switch about to have another 1+ million year?! It's already at 250k in less than 3 months. It's already by far the best selling system in Japan and will easily pass 37 million this year.

That heavily relies on if tomodachi life has any effect.

NS barely fell from last week, because oled went up and NS og sales are weekly yoy up.

Switch Sports really legging it out; 4 years since release and selling higher in the charts than the likes of Kirby Air Riders, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Jamboree, Splatoon 3, etc.

PS5 sales going to collapse again after price hike.

Maybe not since the “JP Only” model won’t be getting a price hike. Sales may take a slight hit, but nothing like a collapse.

I'm not sure how much longer that will say at 55k yen though, they must be bleeding money on it at that price when everything else is soaring.

Oh please .. Sony was bleeding money for almost all of the PS3 generation .. They are playing p***y now compare to what they were once. This whole generation is such a joke .. Nintendo is the only manufacturer left that is close enough to a traditional console generation. The whole console gaming is cratering. I don't see bright future if those bullshits continue for the foreseeable future. First tariffs, then ram and SSDs, or it's all more like company's greed ? I would bet the latter.
