Main article is live. Breakdown by regions for the Switch 2 is puzzling. At least for Japan and Rest of World. Famitsu has figures above what Nintendo says they shipped. Not sure what to do about that

No worries. I am about to head to bed as it is 2:30 am here. Machina is going to work on the adjustments while I sleep. I will update any articles in the morning my time.

We are too low on NS2, which is a bit crazy. With 5.82 million shipped as of June 30, we are likely talking 5.4M-5.5M sell-through through July 5. That would be enough for it to top 6 million sell-through in week 7 that Nintendo announced.

As far as NS1, we are likely talking 90K or a bit more needed as we want to start closing the gap between shipped and sold. Right now we have the gap only shrinking by 20K for the quarter. We want it to shrink by more than that per quarter.

Very strong and deserved debut of course for the Switch 2. Possibly the best launch month and 6M in a bit under 2 months is bonkers!

Massive launch for the Nintendo Switch 2! Nearly 6 million in just 26 days of sales!
Was kinda hoping Nintendo might feel generous and give us DK Bananza sales, even it didn't come out during this reported quarter. Oh well.
As Switch 2 goes, so will Mario Kart World - Barring an unforeseen, global phenomenon killer app that sets the world on fire like Pokemon did back in the late 90s-early 00s or the Wii sensation of the mid-late 00s, I'm 99.9% certain that Mario Kart World will ultimately be the best selling Switch 2 game by a wide margin like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is for Switch 1

Speaking of Switch 1, it is now just roughly 920k units away from surpassing the DS as the best-selling Nintendo system of all time. Seeing as how it was able to ship 980k units in this quarter, there is a chance it could do it by the next report or just barely miss it. If not in July-Sept., then it will DEFINITELY be in Oct-Dec, just in time for the holidays. Once it passes the DS, there will be just one left...

Mario Kart World with a 97% percent attach rate.

Adjustments made to NS2.

Modest increases made in Canada and Latin America (less than 5k each). In Europe, countries where we had very low confidence in our figures (due to no launch data) received the largest increases: Italy (~19k), Benelux (~12k), the Nordic countries (~13k), and Eastern Europe (~4k).

We've had to drastically cut the MNS estimate for Japan. Famitsu being above Nintendo was a shock; wonder what Famitsu's reaction to that will be.

RoW was where we were off the most, and Asia (+375k) was probably the main culprit, though now we have a baseline we should be much closer in future.

In total we've added ~430k to the worldwide figure for June, putting Switch 2 at 5.44M.
