Of course I know what you are talking about in your "attempt" but the forcast for this year was 13.5 million. Reduced to 12.5 and now 11 million. Pokemon Legends ZA was revealed in the leak to been planned for a holiday 2024 release.

Pokemon Legends ZA was announced for a 2025 release before the last fiscal year even began, over 2 months before the 13.5m forecast was given. So the forecast of 13.5m was not anticipating a Pokemon Legends holiday if that's what you're implying.

I'm not ignoring Nintendo were still dumb enough to think they could hit it without Pokemon. They certainly found out Pokemon was not going to make it before hand and hoped Switch's momentum could still carry it. That was dumb but they hardly tried considering no price cut.

So @haxxiy point was on place. 13.5M forecast, and 9 months in we are down to 11M. It's also not clear if the 1.46M left will be hit during the last quarter, so those 11M can very easily become 10.5M. Just like the forecast become 11M from 13.5M originally.

My primary threads:

Ultimate Showdowns: JP 2023 / JP 2024 / JP 2025 / 2025 / 2024 / 2023 / 20222021

Lifetime Showdowns: Global / Regional / Historical / YOY Charts / 150M+ Club Chart

Polls: When will the Switch: Outsell the DS? / Outsell the PS2? / LT expectations of: Switch / PS5 / XBSX

So @haxxiy's point was grossly off because it was never 15 million forecasted. What Nintendo's 13.5 million forcast being reduced has to do with this thread I'm not sure.

The financial reports has 7 non-Nintendo published titles as million sellers this FY. Can we take a guess what those might have been? The ones I can think of:

- Dragon Quest 3 HD2D 100% certain.
- Minecraft, bcause Why not.
- Hogwarts Legacy? Just keeps selling it seems
- Momotaro Dentetsu World: The Earth Spins with Hope! But it would need a good portion of digital this FY for that, so unclear.
- Monster Hunter Rise did 2 million this FY according to Capcom' Financials, but unclear how much on Switch with the title now being multiplatform, but could be one of them.
- Balatro sold 5 million, is multiplatform, but can see reachiing 1 million on Switch because its a good platform for this type of game.

What do you guys/girls think could be added?

You're just misunderstanding the post. He never said Nintendo forecast 15m. He said people were saying that IF Nintendo forecast 15m they would be able to hit that target. No idea if people did say that, if they hypothetically could or couldn't, and it's probably not even worth thinking about. My own recollection is that most people thought 13.5m was too high back then.

Why would Nintendo's previous forecasts for this fiscal year not be relevant in this thread? The change to that number is literally part of this fiscal update. You were literally the first person in the thread to bring up the 13.5m figure. lol.

Ah yes! I see there was an update the 23th of January that it sold over 2 million copies. I can see half of that on Switch.

Prince of Persia only sold 1.5m on all platforms so probably not that...

Unicorn Overlord shipped 0.5m on all platforms before the fiscal year started, and 1m by September so probably didn't do 1m on Switch alone either unless holiday sales were strong.

The Castlevania collection was this year too...

Is Grounded a possibility? It did well on PC but I'm not sure well enough to do 1m on Switch.

I think you've got at least 5 of them their though, I just don't know about Momotaro.
