Switch is selling lower than expected this holiday even with my conservative expectations about this year's holiday. Honestly I expected numbers of at least 100k every week of this holiday. The other part of the year though it was better than normal for this time in it's life. And PS5's holiday boost is also not present .. Strange.. Japan is so unpredictable market.

I'm here for the PS4 VS Xbox Series fight.

The PS5 needs to sell more than 58 thousand units per week in the next two weeks to reach 5 million lifetime units this year. It will be a difficult task. Switch will end the year above 4 million which is great for its age, it's only a matter of time before it becomes the best-selling console in Japan

Surely the Switch will have a 100k week next week? It'll still reach 4m this year either way though and the PS5 reaches 2.5m at last though the decline next year should be big. Also nice to see Warioware having good legs after having such a low opening.

The drop shouldn't be that big, the PS5 should still sell 2 million in 2024

Mario Wonder and Switch did almost identical numbers, 94682 and 94643

I expect it'll be big cause not only has the pent up demand been fulfilled, the price increase will harm demand going forward not only domestically but also for people in other countries who have been importing them.

This could be the first year where December isn't the best selling month for Switch. June sold 486k. December is 5-weeks right? So it might beat it but this holiday has been weird for Switch in Japan.
