US Total Sales of the Top #3
NDS: 57.92M
PS2: 53.65
Switch: 47.26M

Like others said, that's not U.S. sales. That's shipments for the whole region. The actual final NPD sales figures for those systems are:

NDS: 53.5M
PS2: 46.7M
NSW: ~43M

The 360's numbers were apparently revised by the NPD Group at some point, as existing monthly numbers add up to 43,258k, more than the roughly 43M the Switch is sitting at. The estimates for the Switch are apparently pretty spot-on, so the actual figure for the 360 has to be under 43M. The July report indicated that as of that month the Switch was under a million behind the 360, which the estimates for the Switch at the time had it pegged at a bit over 41.8M, meaning the 360 had to have sold only 42.8M at most, which in turn means the old monthly numbers add up to a figure that overtracked the 360's lifetime numbers by no less than ~460k. The Switch was also stated to be less than 5M behind the PS2, which is consistent with the 46.7M figure.

You meant the 360 ones ?

PS2 is at 53M at least here on hardware by date for the US data. NPD is again US only so how can 6M difference be ?

These are the worlwide number for November 2023 ?

Hope Microsoft will react and invest in marketing.

Don't want them to leave the Hardware market.

Ouchies.... I  was way off target.
I think I as thinking of global numbers, instead of just US ones (in which case my optimistic guess isnt actually very optimistic).

Globally Im pretty sure PS5 is over 2,3m this november (gotta be in the 2,5m-3m range).

The global vgchartz estimates have been calculated but the article has yet to be written. The results for November were:

PS5 - 3.55m
NS - 1.67m
XBS - 1.03m

These are the worlwide number for November 2023 ?

Hope Microsoft will react and invest in marketing.

Don't want them to leave the Hardware market.

Xbox hardware isnt going anywhere anytime soon.
MS has more than enough money, to carry Xbox, forever if needed (which it isnt, its still profitable).

However, I think they really do need to focus more on the rest of the world.
This america first, mostly 100% focused approach isnt working.

Time to invest in marketing (rest of world), hireing people to do translations (instead of useing auto-translations from google), doing voice overs, in many more lanagues ect for games/OS's.

The games will come, and will carry Xbox.
The amount of studio's now under the xbox banner is nuts. It should be enough to compete with playstation.

All thats lacking is abit more focus on quality over quantity.
And a more global thinking mindset, in the approach to xbox.

There are a lot of different rumblings. Shinobi, has in response to As Dusk Falls getting a PlayStation port, implied that there are several more previously Xbox Exclusive games coming to PlayStation. I have seen other rumblings about future XGS/ACTI/Bethesda titles coming to other consoles as well as Xbox and also rumours of a new Xbox Generation starting in 2026, but I don't know whether to put stock into the source of those rumours unlike Shinobi who I have trust for.

If I had to use one word to describe Xbox's future in the hardware space it would be uncertain. We'll just have to see what happens.

I can't agree more !

Microsoft need to focus on marketing know they've got Zenimax AND Activision.

Unfortunately, Microsoft as always be very very bad at marketing, and not just for Xbox.

Surface Earbuds / Surface Duo / Windows Phone were great products but no one know they exists....

Sorry, I'll go review my work. Thanks!

I was finding record for the DS being
NDS:52.78M
I based it on https://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41637/USA/
Any weekly video game chart after Dec 28th 2013 doesn't have any DS hardware numbers. But the DS would sell until May 20th 2014 so I trust 57.92M

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 160 million (was 120 million, then 140 million, then 150 million)

PS5: 130 million (was 124 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 54 million (was 60 million, then 57 million)

Here you can see the list:

https://www.vgchartz.com/charts/platform_totals/Hardware.php/?sort=NA

DS: 57.92M

PS2: 53.65M

NSW: 47.26M

NSW still has a long way to reach the PS2 ..

And as @trunkswd noted, the DS is over 53M in US, therefore PS2 must be somewhere around 50M. NSW is at 43M in US. So still 7M to go ..
