I wonder if the Switch 2 can pull off the longest streak of 100k+ units sold per week. Not sure what is the number to beat though.

The Switch 2 has already overtaken Xbox 360 lifetime sales in Japan (If we include MNS sales). The next console for Switch 2 to beat is Dreamcast at 2.25M sales.

That must've been done prolly during the 7th Gen era record wise. Wouldn't surprise me if the DS is holding that record too

Didn't know the 3DS managed a streak like this ! Switch needs two more weeks like this surpass it too.

Feels like that 24 week streak may be too much to ask for though

Yakuza and Rune Factory on Switch 2 are showing pretty good legs; the latter sold similarly to the Switch 1 version this week despite the enormous difference in install base.

Don't forget the 21 week streak too. It all depends on what baseline it will settle at. If it's anything above 100k, it will do it till the holidays.

At this point, Switch 2's sales depend entirely on how much stock Nintendo are able to provide. Whatever they ship should sell through quickly for the foreseeable future.
