As expected, the incredibly cheap price for the Switch 2 is very popular in Japan.

16. [NS2] Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster – 4,963 / NEW

I know it's a remake/remaster, but I thought it would do better. The original 3DS release did really well as I recall.

I cannot imagine that there are many people who played the original would pay to play it again. The first Bravely Default game has one of the worst mid-game quality drops I've ever witnessed.

The original game could sell on promise. The remaster carries the baggage of people knowing what they'll get into.

Let's predict next week numbers for the Switch 2 in Japan. I say 300k. Switch did 330k in it's launch week back in 2017, and it did 63k the second week, this is around 20% of what it did on it's launch. However since the Switch 2 numbers are wayyy bigger, I expect around 30% of it's launch week numbers for the second week... unless of course the stock doesn't runs out.

Depends on supply unfortunately, I do think the demand can carry it higher than that if Nintendo truly does have the supply. The FOMO is in full effect.

And just like that, YTD console sales went from -40% to +10% YoY.

Gosh I did not expect a console to even fathom reaching such a high number( Although do not quite my League Prediction of 1,8M cuz I was mislead by earlier pre-order reports and thought stock were even more applenty than this lol)

Also yeah, since the bundled game MKW is counted as a "physical entity", we can't be sure of what the actual physical sales are like. But looking at the hint from Europe I'd say it's likely in the 100K-200K and not much more really. Nintendo prioritized the sales a bundled model instead of the one without it.
