I voted Summer 2026? I was a bit optimistic it seems lol. Granted, I was operating under the assumption that Switch was going to hit its FY’25 target of 13.5mil…and not fall short nearly 3mil units.

Ok, according to Nintendo's own website, they have sold 153.10 Million Switch Units as of June 30, 2025.  Since this site just took Sony at their word, why aren't they taking Nintendo's at theirs.

Thanks for the official figures. I thought the Switch would surpass the PS2, but not anymore.

It will still 100% happen. Switch is still selling a lot of units.

One year later, let's see what the votes will be.
Switch has just reached 154M shipped. There is one more decent holiday to go.
How will 2026 and 2027 be for the system? The clock is ticking.

Forecast for Switch 1 has been reduced from 4.5m to 4m.

So currently 156.12m by March 31st 2026. But wouldn't be surprised if it's adjusted down again. I'm not expecting it will reach 160m.

The pipe dream is over.

Easily before Holidays 2026, just after Summer 2026. And will go on to sell some millions more too. Move over PS2, everybody in their right mind could see this coming 3+ years ago anyway.
