It made 2,831, that bring the total of Xbox to 4,438 units for the week 10/14/24 - 10/20/24

Good catch!

4438 is actually a pretty strong week by "Xbox in Japan" standards;  that's like 3% of Xbox One's total lifetime sales for instance.

I wonder what impact the new models have had worldwide; probably not huge I expect, I feel like they messed up by not making the all digital Series X $400.

So .. new model of the X with slight price difference and it got boost even to the other models ? which were recently price hiked .. am I missing something ?

Yes. I went by the Op in this tread that had an error at the time or at least i thought it did. I edited my comment above and fixed the chart. Thank you for pointing it out.

They already tried that with Final Fantasy, and it turned out disastrously for Square-Enix, with both FF 16 and FF 7 Rebirth underperforming. I doubt most third parties will be willing (or able) to accept such an exclusivity deal anymore, especially for IPs that are Japan-focused.
