RAGNAROK, because this God of War-Title is very impressive (and has the best gameplay) :)

It's really hard to choose a favorite from the God of War series because I could see a reason to choose any of the 5 main games as the top title. In the end, I went with God of War 3 because of the epic boss battles but I'm very happy to see how close the results are between the good titles.

God of war 1 (2005) of course. I just beat it on god mode (very hard). It was pain in the ass in the final boss, but generally okay.

GoW has actually a great story, good puzzles too, but it's a bit clunky and the combat is the worse, those of course being because it's the first game, but for that it ranks the lowest from the 5 main games to me. Also only it and 4 don't have the Blade of Olympus from those.

Great game, like any of the 8 titles, but 2 to 5 are definitely better games. They kept getting better and better.

There is no way you play 2 after 1 and don't think 2 is the better game immediatly.

I actually do. The setting, the locations, the puzzles, and the more retro oriented in general game of God of war 1 is more of my liking for me, than the second one. The first is more hardcore. You need to have better skills to do it flawlessly and it request more determination from you as a player to be a perfect, and to beat it on the hard difficulties than the second one. Also I love the story more on the first one. The combat I learned to perfection, and although the second one is also very good in that criteria, I am fully happy with the combat of the first one as well. It has it's charm, that is 100% of my liking for games and my taste. The game it feels a lot more like the old retro games for the PS1 and PS2, then the second. The second feels a lot more modern, it's puzzles it's mechanics, or at least some of them .. The second and the third are way more babysitting you than the first one. The first one you are on your own what to do , where to go, how to do it. This is what I like the most.
