First of all, no. MS is still making Xbox's. 2nd, using Crapgamer as a source for anything should be a bannable offense lol. Joking but you anyone who aware of his content knows it's clickbait garbage. 

I haven't met his videos till this one now. Okay, I didn't know it's just clickbait, I will edit my post.

Honestly, it seems fairly obvious that if Microsoft had its way, it wouldn't be making consoles at all and would rather get GamePass on PlayStation and Switch. Between PS4/5 and Switch they would be able to hit their sub goal with no problem. They wouldn't have to pay the cost of producing consoles and they would be instantly become the number one video game company full stop.

Yes but its not as innovative as the WiiU.

Playstation and especially Switch players aren't that interested in expensive subscription services. MS wouldn't hit their lofty sub goal even if the service penetrates Playstation and Nintendo systems. PC has at least comparable active playerbase to all consoles combined, and yet the vast majority of GamePass subs are on Xbox.

But more importantly, Playstation and Nintendo won't allow GamePass without a 50%+ tax (and good chance they won't allow it under ANY condition). GamePass would hurt the platforms' software sales and native subscription services. Lots of PS Plus Extra/Premium users would cancel and switch to GamePass, why would Sony allow that?

This is the situation with Xbox in Europe:

They've basically flatlined.

Whether it manages to crawl to 40 million is pretty much entirely down to just North America now, and even there it's limping.
