Forums - Sales - The Road to 160m+ for Nintendo Switch (EDIT: See mod note in first post for new rule).

I would not expect any prices to fall. Nintendo has made it very clear that their biggest issue is profits. Its the reason (rightfully) for their lawsuit and its the reason why the price of the Switch 1 went up in the first place. What we want is for all the tariffs to be reversed and ram to get under control. This will automatically allow them to lower prices. While Ram will eventually have to fall, I am not optomistic that we can do anything about the tariffs while the current admistration is in the White House.

That was the price before the the hike.

There is plenty of room for growth in Europe.

169 suggested price + vat 199.

However, for example the console has dissappeared in my Country.

Only oled stock in big retailers.

The same is happening in my country and I guess in most of Europe: The Lite was either not or very poorly restocked whereas the OLED and standard versions got lots of restock recently.

This is very strange. We thought Nintend would invest in the Switch Lite post-NS2 release but it seems they're doing the opposite. What gives?

Do you guys expect the Super Mario Galaxy movie to help the Switch 1's sales considerably or do you guys think the impact will be minimal?

Nintendo has the chance to do a finisher to Sony if they wanted too.

Drop the price of the lite to $199 and pack in a digital game.

Is there actual interest in seeing a record broken or is it just console warring?  Remember companies don't work like that.  They don't want to see each other fail in the way the fanboys are always at each other's neck.

Trust me if Nintendo cared about being 'number one'  they would have cut the price of the Switch a long time ago.   Again I think they are using the Switch as a means to generate profit to keep the price of Switch 2 down.   Its really smart if you think about it.

Eventually the price of PS5 will have to come back down, but i think they will take a page out of Nintendos book.

No.  For Switch 2 maybe.  Also for software.

Nintendo finna to raise the price on all of its hw including the S1, no way the S1 is not impacted by the same increased cost to manufacture as the S2 and the PS5 and XB.
