Data and charts have been updated and adjusted with weeks 40, 41, 42 and 43 for every comparison!
- Switch well ahead of the Wii for now, but will the holidays help it enough to pass that number of 5.1M ?
- Switch in US is on pace of surpassing 1.25M for the year and the PSP'11 year.
- Switch in EU is neck in neck with the PSP'13 year, which ended at 1.4M
- PS5 making difference of almost a million from the PS4'15 year of 17.4M. If it holds up in the holidays, it might end up with at least 18M.
- PS5 in US is bad. It's not losing only from the PS4'15 year, but it was surpassed by the X360 '07 year too. The holidays are the saving grace for it.
- PS5 in EU is compensating for the mediocre performance (compared to the last few years) of the system. It's already above the NSW'21 year of almost 6.2M and with the heavy discounts there it might do something close to the last year 2M in November and and 1.4M in December. It is also slightly ahead of 2024 by this point in time, and therefore, if the holiday is at least as strong as the last year, the number of 7.1M might be surpassed.
- Xbox Series with the adjustments is tracking neck in neck with the Wii U year of 3.5M.
- Xbox Series in US is doing slightly better than the 3DS'18 year of 1.5M, but worse than the XB1'20 year of 1.9M
- Xbox Series in EU is eating the difference it had with the DS'12 and is now only 60k away from it. If it does even mediocre boost in the holidays, it should beat it.
