Yet you participated in it. And are you trying to make us cringe to death with this post? Good God, sir. Go "not be a fan" somewhere else then. I think there should be more threads like this. Keep up the good work Xtreme.

Lol! Also, um... oops... well I guess you caught my post before I deleted it. Anyhow, I take back my words for a reason: I think the thread is fine as is, even if it does very slightly rub me in the wrong way. Just a little in poor taste, y'know? With all that's been going on between the Sony and Nintendo community on this topic.

Lol. Yes I see you deleted it. Thats not surprising, another classic firebush03 move. Always posting before fully thinking things through 😆 🤣

Do I win a championship for that or are you going to added it to Nintendo in your signature?

You want a championship do you? Well how many consoles did you sell so far this generation?

2 consoles at most.

I don't want an AI hat with fireworks coming out from it tho, can it be arranged?

Eh. If you feel like you said something that, upon re-assessment, no longer matches your perspective, then best to be like "Y'know what? I'm deleting my original post."— it's good to "swallow your pride" sometimes. It's less that I'm not thinking before posting, but more that I thinking before, during, and after posting. Not just gonna drop a comment and never revisit it.

Anyhow, I'm not too interested in playing ball with ya... this feels like a bit of a convicting/provocative conversation. So, I'll be seeing myself out of this conversation. You take care, Mr. angrypoolman.

Financially, Switch wins.
Regarding games, PS2 wins.

I'm curious in your perspective on how does Switch win financially?

Let's even go with the PS2 slim when it was released 4yrs after the original, at $149US (approx $250US in today's cost) and even as low as $99 on sale, and don't forget PS2 had really affordable games with the Greatest Hits.  Nintendo didn't have their Player's Choice and still to this day many of their launch Switch 1 games are still full price.

I think ArtX means Switch is the greater financial success. Not only has Nintendo made a lot on the hardware but digital purchases of games and DLC plus NSO and other income streams have made crazy money. PS2 had no digital distribution and no internet subscription at the system level.

As far as value, PS2 got really cheap years in and Greatest Hits and such for some previously full price titles. PS2 was more affordable for a lot of its life, so it was financially more appealing to consumers. Also, if you got a PS2 you didn't need a separate DVD player if you were fine using the PS2.

But of course, entry level DVD players in many regions around the time of the launch of PS2 were about 100 bucks/100 quid or cheaper than a PS2. If you had little care for PS2 and PS1 games, you'd be smart to save your money and get a cheap DVD player. But if you were at least moderately interested in PlayStation games, PS2 was a great value.

Ah ok yea that makes sense now, then yea I would agree with that. It's was just a simpler time for PS2.

I prefer Nintendo IPs, so Switch 1 is the obvious answer. The PS2 is not even better than the PS1 in my opinion. I have a fond memory for a lot of PS1 games such as Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3, CTR and Bash, Digimon World and Rumble Arena, Tarzan, Jackie Chan, Scooby-Doo, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Tekken 3... As for the PS2, I only cared for Crash Twinsanity and Digimon Rumble Arena 2

scooby doo for ps1. lol
