While the PS2 was good for its time and had a huge pile of really good games (and a fuck ton of shovelware) I will say Switch in this poll for one reason alone: they hybrid nature of the Nintendo Switch (and a lot of good games too).
Play on the TV: Switch
Play while on the porcelain throne: Switch
Play while laying in bed next to my then new born kid: Switch
Play sitting next to wife that is watching Greys Anatomy: Switch
Play sitting next to my oldest kid watching cartoons: Switch
So a lot of this comes down to convenience of my life being different and having a lack of spare time of the switch era compared to my life in my late teens when PS2 was a thing. The switch simply has enabled me to play more than a non hybrid system would at this point in life.
Further Nintendo systems have something other consoles don’t and that is Nintendo games, and the Switch has had a great run regarding Nintendos games. Looking through the physical games I have for the Switch more than 50 % of the games I’ve bought are made by or published by Nintendo themselves.
And on a last note. The switch got BotW (technically WiiU also got that game) and for me personally I’ve not had as much fun with a computer/video game in something like 15 years prior to the release of BotW.
