The 3DS, because I didn't find it brought enough to the table to replace my DS lite.

Technically also the N64, as I wasn't console gaming between 1994 and 2003, but I got one later down the road.

I don't think the virtual boy ever came out in Europe, so I wasn't skipping that one, either.

Nope, Sony have never disappointed. Closest I got was switching to my 360 for a bit after my PS3 died but the PS3 got me back in before the PS4. I was gonna skip PS5 though cause I seen no reason to upgrade from the PS4 PRO until my PRO started giving me anxiety with an overheating issue, it didn't brake fully, I just couldn't stand the looming fear that it's shut itself off at any moment and the noise of it was getting to me. I'd still be on that PRO if not for that and I'd probably even have skipped GTA6 with the plan to have a plethora of 9th gen exclusives running better on PS6 but I'm glad I jumped right before shit hit the fan price wise and likely the PS6 getting pushed out a few years or landing at something silly like 999.99 and I have enjoyed many of the 9th gen exclusives and the PS5 its self more than I would have thought.

I skipped on Nintendo's handhelds until the 3DS. I had a Game Boy as a kid, but as an adult I had neither the money nor the inclination to buy a GBA or DS. I feel I kinda missed out in retrospect.

Aside from the GBA and DS, the only other notable systems I've missed out on as an adult were the Saturn (discontinued shortly before I got my first job) and the PS3 (I was short on money and my roommate already had one we could play on).

As a Nintendo fan I guess I did also technically skip the Virtual Boy, NES Mini, and SNES Mini, plus I was born too late for the Colour Game TV or Game & Watch.

Those modern retro type consoles don't really appeal to me as I prefer to play on original hardware for authenticity.

I skip many consoles, since I mostly use my PC. Upgraded PCs are never skipped.

All handhelds are skipped.

I haven't skipped PS main consoles, but when my PS3 broke, I didn't buy another. PS6 being more than $600 will probably get a pass from me too.

I basically done with Consoles at this point. I wont say I never own one again but at the moment it hard for me to see a reason I would. As for history I owned

I switched from Nintendo to Sony when Sony got into the business mainly because it became fairly clear early on that PS1 was going to be the console for JRPGs this generation and that mainly what I cared about.

As for skipping PS5, at this point in my life there really no game I want to play that I not rather play on PC even if that means waiting a entire year or more before it comes to PC.

Handhelds I never really been interested in. If am not in my house then for most part there things I rather be doing then playing video games and if I in my house am not interesting in playing a game on a small screen when I got monitors or TVs as a option.

I skipped the Gamecube. My parents already got me a PS2 and a GBA that gen, so it was pretty much impossible to ask them for a third system.

Unless things get a lot better until late 2028 (launch windown IMO) the PS6 is very likely going to ve over $600, the PS5 costs $650 right now.

Even with Sony being ok with taking a decent hit to sell PS6s early on, $700 is our best hope right now. I do believe things will be better by late 2028, so at least there is still some hope in me that $600 is possible by then.

Yeah, I skipped the Gamecube, but also shifted to Playstation, which resulted in skipping most Nintendo consoles after thst.
But I've also skipped PS5 now. I'll probably get PS6, but depending on how it turns out I may just play on PC.

I've skipped the PS5 Pro. I would have skipped the PS4 Pro but my PS4 bricked and I bought a used Pro to replace it.
I had the Game Boy but didn't buy myself another portable until the 3DS XL Zelda edition. That is a purchase I regret as I bet I spent less than 2 hours on it.
I am just not into handheld gaming and while I have a Switch 1 and an S2 I do not use them in handheld mode. I skipped the PS portables for myself (I have bought most of the Nintendo and Sony portables for my son, just not for myself).
I was interested in the Virtual Boy until I played it at a store so I skipped that one too.

I will likely skip the PS6. My interest in gaming is waning and while I really like the UI and how fast the PS5 is I just don't play it enough.
