I wouldn't expect a price cut in North America. The price went UP last year due to the tariffs and now the cost of RAM has shot up.

Our estimates in France has the Switch 1 at just under 9 million lifetime.

Thank you so much! Anywise, the gap among ds ns in France is a bit bigger than i thought, 8.9m vs 10.6m.

Do you think it's feasible to reach 10m milestone in France when all is said and done?

As for the price hike in the USA, it's a disgruntling fact.

I  just implied if Nintendo switch is still around by the next USA presidential elections...

France is Nintendo's biggest market in Europe, however, it really has no shot of reaching 10 million in France.

@trunkswd Some typos ..

" Breaking down the sales of the Switch by region, it has sold an estimated 42.95 million units in North America, 36.66 million units in Europe, 27.44 million units in Japan, and 23.95 million units in the rest of the world "

That is adding up to 131M not 154.16M ..

Also, "Shipment figures for the Nintendo Switch reached 1155.37 million units as of December 31, 2025" wow that's a lot of units.

10M ? Which means to sell more than 1M more ? Not a chance.

Switch did 1.2M in whole Europe last year. It is only dropping. It will probably do half or even less than half this year. Again in the whole Europe territory. It's questionable if it can do another 1M in Europe lifetime, let alone in France. Not a chance.

It's a bit tricky to check sales tools of vgc on mobile.

1.2m, not bad in 8th year , but 300k less than in Japan, the comparison makes It a bit shocking.

Of course, it would have weaker legs there.

It's pricey, owing to  the *intact"price along with vat policies of each European country ( NS lite has vanished from my country) .

What happened to the USA market thanks to tariffs, is an established fact for Europe.

Tariffs vat isn't the same thing, but bring the same results.

How much of the monthly sales does France account?

I promise, last question.

What the heck!

The whopping 31%!(damn, i admit I wanted 40%)

Basically, ns must have fallen of a cliff in some Europe markets, but still doing exceptionally well  in others like France and benelux i would bet (fairly good in Espana too).

You gave such important sales info, trunks,

Thank you.

The Switch 2 basically matched the Switch 1's February 2018 which is good considering the much worse economic circumstances but it did so by doing significantly better in Japan but worse elsewhere so it looks like it'll need to keep doing great in Japan to avoid falling behind. The PS5 was only 19% down which is also good though the Xbox Series is back to being over 50% down. The YoY comparisons for the latter will notably improve starting in April though unless another price increase happens by then. And the Switch could held up a tad better than expected in the next stretch depending on how long its recent uptick in Japan lasts but that won't be enough to change the overall picture.
