• Just to clarify, my data is strictly adjusted with the VGChartz data, when it comes out. I fill up the data with the Famitsu one when it comes out, and when the given month data is out on VGChartz, I adjust that with those slightly different numbers. They are slightly different from the Famitsu ones, because there is 1 day difference in the weeks. That 1 day difference is there because the weeks are adjusted in order to be the same days they are with the NPD/Circana weeks (and Europe too). Therefore, for 2025, the last week will actually be the next one, which will end on January 3rd, instead of January 4th like it will be on Famitsu. That is why I have one week left on each comparison, which will be next one on famitsu, and will later be adjusted with the VGChartz data when it's out for December.

Going by how Famitsu tracks I was right with the Switch though significantly off with the PS5 though there was no GTA 6. The former held up this year better than I was expecting the first couple months or so but after March declined faster than I expected followed by it making somewhat of a recovery which evened things out in the end. For the latter I knew it was gonna decline but didn't expect it to fail to hit 1m. That price increase really hurt the shit out of its sales which is why they gave it a big price cut recently.
