EU numbers are gonna be odd too, I think.

^ anecdotal evidence... but lots of people mentioning the XSX is out of stock, in various EU places.
There has been no discounts, or anything to suggest a raise in sales,.... its like they just stopped shipping them.

Maybe there's a logical reason for it? but this is looking like its not gonna be a great November in EU either judging by this.

What do you guys think of "gaming subscription revenue increased 8%. " ?

So compaired to november last year, everyone's total subscriptions numbers (revenue), are in total 8% higher.
Now most of this is likely game pass (not all but, a good part of it).

The thing is... last year, game pass was cheaper than than it is this year.
So if this is revenue in subscriptions, growing 8%.
While prices of subscriptions have gone up... Game pass subscriptions might not have grown very much compared to last years November.
Despite getting Call of Duty in there.

Is there any other interpretation (that makes sense)?

I gotta say I have been feeling for awhile that the gaming industry will look very different in the distant future but things are looking worse than I initially imagined. I do believe we are witnessing the end of Xbox as a platform like this but i thought it would take atleast another three generations for Xbox to completely collapse or make its final transition (PC gaming only). Microsoft should shift to being more like Steam as a gaming platform. Microsoft's strengthens are in PC gaming and PC gaming is really beginning to take away all of the advantages console gaming once had. This would allow MS to remain competive while still growing in the gaming industy. Drop Xbox and instead bring in pre-built gaming PCs and PC handhelds, pitch them like gaming consoles selling brand controllers and all. Windows store and game pass will still be open to the entire market but of course offer incentives for your own hardware like cheaper gamepass and Windows. Microsoft should remain as a third party for the entire industry. The gaming market seems to be headed towards mobile (50% of all the gaming market), PC (second largest gaming market now and taking consumers from the tradition console market), and the console market (PS and Nintendo). Funny enough PS might become the platform with the least users in the distant future, that's actually hilarious when you look back on the history of the gaming industry.

Consoles have an uncertain future, the only thing i'm certain about is that Nintendo will be committed to consoles as long as they think consoles have a viable market, while Sony is already hetching their bets by putting their games on PC, meaning they will likely drop consoles before Nintendo does.

No doubt, if consoles fold then Sony is definitely folding before Nintendo but I don't think the console market will ever fully collapse. Nintendo alone will push the need for consoles because they will certainly continue to innovate. Sony i don't see going that route either because they will certainly make more money by having their own platform. Releasing games on PC is really just them trying to make as much from their investment. Both will need to be dragged kicking and screaming to exit the console market because its more lucrative to make money from your own platform. Mobile, PC, and streaming will just continue to eat away at them both (PS and Nintendo) and they need to remain diligent in their defense. Nintendo is better prepared now because of the first party ip and innovative thinking. Sony needs to begin building their first party ip to be more appealing and it's clear that's what they are up to. Copy Nintendo's innovative ideas as well Sony, that will help keep them at bay as well. Sony knows this too because Sony clearly views the WiiU as a brilliant concept with PS Portal.

By the way, this is the second best black friday week for the PS5, barely behind it's 2022 black friday week, only by 20k.

Insane achievement for the Nintendo Switch (I'm talking about it outselling the PS2).

Sad situation for Xbox, even in its strongest market.

Microsoft should have matched Sony's discounts. I was shocked at the lack of deals for the Xbox Series consoles, and bundles. Where was the Call of Duty Xbox bundles? I was sure they would do that. If Microsoft matched Sony's $75 off (and Nintendo had the same thing for the Switch and OLED) then their prices would be...
Xbox Series S: $225
Xbox Series S 1 TB: $275
Xbox Series X Digital: $375
Xbox Series X: $425
And imagine if those systems had Call of Duty bundled in. I don't think they would outsell the PS5, but I know they would have sold 800K+ for the month.
