More hints, more hints!

29) Starts the way the last game teased, but definitely not in the way people expected

This game has two characters that fit the titular moniker

28) Just like this game released slighly over a decade after its predecassor, it's sequel also came out slightly over a decade after this one

This is the third time you fight the titular character

27) Starts with falling

Behind the jokes there's a fairly dark story

26) Who doesn't love annograms?

You have a party of characters instead of just one

28 - Diablo III

Indeed, know you're a big fan of that one

29. Pokemon Ruby
Until recently, I bought and played every mainline Pokemon game that came out. I was there when Pokemania first started in the late 90's and while I enjoyed the first two games imo the series reached it's peak in the third generation. It introduced a great set of new Pokemon, while mixing in plenty of old favorites, May and Wally made for a great pair of rivals. Altho their plans were demonstrably insane Team Magma and Team Aqua had great designs and I loved the land vs sea theming. The graphic improvement was also head and shoulders above its predecessors and I even today I prefer the sprite work of that time to the current 3D models. And one of my favorite parts was the existence of Hidden Bases. As a kid that appealed to me so much, to have a secret spot that you could arrange and decorate with all the various little items and collectibles found across the world. This one might be some nostalgia talking, but Ruby remains my favorite of the series.

Let's get to the next set of hints then.

#25

-In the original this was just the first 10 or so hours, now its the whole game

#24

-Final part of the Erebonia arc

#23

-The most famous ladder climb in video game history

#22

-Set in a kingdom once ruled by The Pale King

#21

-Picks up a month after the previous game, with the main character finding himself in the middle of a civil war between the Noble Alliance and the Imperialists

25 - Final Fantasy VII remake?

23 - I know it probably won't be this, but I can't help but think of the massive ladder from Diving Area in Tomb Raider II

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

#30 Another game about Dragons, it didn't make it into my top 50 list until after I replayed it in VR and will replay it again might it ever get a PSVR2 sense controller remake. However that's not likely to happen.

Could be Skyrim? (A little concerned if you want a remake of that though)

Yes Skyrim. It was awesome in VR, so yes I would play it again with a proper VR control scheme and menus better suited for VR.
The PSVR version was a very basic port from an early version. It was already great but a lot of room for improvement.

#29 has already been remastered a couple times and is still a highly requested remake instead of having to jump through hoops to be able to play the original. Here's a screenshot of a fan remake work in progress using Unreal engine
