The system has already been priced out and it's around $800-900 and Valve already confirmed they aren't subsidizing it. I don't expect much reaction for the MS PC since not only will it be powerful but expensive as well. Kepler says it's costing MS $1200 to make it so expect to at the very least pay that amount. At that price it's just going to be for the most hardcore fan base and while graphics will look great I don't really think anyone will care. The PS4/Xbox One user base is still very large and it shows that people just don't care about graphics anymore. I always buy a new system day 1 on release and this is the first time where I'm wondering if there's even a reason to do it. |
The reduction of loading times alone was worth the upgrade from X1 to Series X. 5 seconds of loading from the main menu and no loading to maybe 2 seconds at most during playing.
