Forums - Nintendo - September Partner Showcase Direct announced

I'm actually curious if we see any Immortals Fenex, partially because I could see a title like that get something akin to Starlink's Star Fox exclusive boost. That did help sales as I understand it and it would probably be a safe and easy way to get extra sales in, especially with that extra time cooking it got due to Breakpoint.

....Heck I don't know what to really expect. I wouldn't even be surprised if something that was suppposed to NEVER come to Switch showed up (IE, if Persona 5 or KH non rhythm pops up) as the Switch and....third party consistency is not common.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Please be better than the last two...

They're partner directs, not Nintendo-centric first-party extravaganzas. The last few partner directs were fine, stop judging based on your outlandish expectations and start judging based on reason.

Yeah, you're right. For the first partner direct my expectation was, that at best we eventually get more info on SMTV. We got SMTV and a Nocturne Remaster, so I felt my expectations validated.

This time with the MonHun rumours lately I see that as a possibility, but maybe not. So best thing that could happen is MonHun, which itself would be pretty awesome. A spinoff or port could also happen, still great but less awesome. And there is the world without MonHun and the rumour just being a rumour. But yeah, thats it in expectations for this. Maybe another Bravely trailer.

This is depicting these expectations quite well I think:

....A possible part of the direct.

Im skiping this. Theres probably nothing exiting coming to the switch from third partys anymore. They will focus now on the new hardware coming. I would love to be wrong tho.

That's very unlikely considering that 3rd party support has only been getting better and better as time has gone on. It makes sense for 3rd party support to continue to improve since Switch was coming off the failure of the Wii U, which means hardly any third parties were working on games by the time the Switch came out. Now that Switch is an insanely hot system and devs have had time to create stuff for it or at least make ports and remasters and whatnot you see way better 3rd party support this year than any previous year. That should only continue. Nothing has changed with new systems coming out, 3rd parties already weren't making new AAA games for Switch so nothing changes there. We should expect things to only continue to improve.

OK, a new MonHun would make that instantly the best Partner Direct so far (not that the competition is very hard).

I swear at this point I have actual anxiety just from the thought of it ending up being some kind of Monkey Paw thing like its just a toon shaded spin off or something.

Like, I want a proper, normal, full-blooded Monster Hunter for Switch so damn much.

You will get Monster Hunter Stories 2 and you will like it. >=(

Maybe they will surprise me but I have really low expectations for this.
