Those aren’t impacting sales for the NSW. NSW is still supply constraint, it’s about to have this gen record for Q1 with supply issues, a ton of NSW still need to be restock excluding the high demand.

on top of which only the hardcore fans are buying xsx and ps5 this Fy. They will be much higher price and on top of NSW doesn’t really seem to cross with the other 2, not directly at least.

22mil at this point is safe too safe. If Nintendo can produce 25mil it’s going to do just that this Fy ;)

Let me reprhase then, PS5 & XSX will 100% have an impact on demand, although demand may still outstrip supply.

"Only hardcore fans are buying a PS5/XSX this FY" This is not only false in my experience its also kinda irrelevant because the audience (hardore or not) will still equate to a minimum of around 6m units in hardware sales this holiday. As just mentioned in reference to myself, many of whom would be buying a Switch if it wasn't for the arrival of those new consoles too. Money constraints are real lol

I am very curious about how much Nintendo can actually supply

Sorry but I don't think you represent a sizable majority. I don't think PS5 and XSeX will impact switch a lot at all and people like you will eventually get a sale later anyways, so Ninty isn't really losing a sale.

I never said it will have a big impact but it will play a factor in holiday demand and we're only discussing sales this year. But as said, the demand will probably be higher than Nintendo can supply anyway, so its really a matter of how much they can supply, with or without added holiday competition on the market.

I’m going to throw my vote in for the 28-30 million, although I think it’ll probably be around 25.5 to 29 range.

It is looking like it’s heading to 14-16million Q4-2 and then a 11.5 to 13m Q3

Honestly I would love it if the switch sells 30mil and XSeX and PS5 sell well as well. That would mean the consoles market is thriving and my favourite console will be 79mil+ by the end of the year. I want every console generation to sell more than their predecessors and I want all the console makers to make better systems with better games.

It depends on supply but it can do 28 million, but if there isn't sufficient supply it's unlikely to even pass 25 million.
As an optimist, I'm voting 28M+

More than Wii peak, so I'd say 26M

There were 6 poll options, so I rolled a 6 sided dice to determine what option I would choose. The dice landed on 2. so I voted for the second option "19M-21M"

Are we talking sales (Vgchartz) or shipments (Nintendo IR)? This is one of those rare times that sales should outpace shipments for the year.

I voted 25-27 but actually think its 24-26. I dont see it going below 24 but also dont see Nintendo being able to supply more than 26.

I want you to know that when you rolled that die you actually created 6 different timelines.
