Perhaps you could elaborate on that.

Germany is a different gaming market from the rest of Europe.  Much more pc focussed and, given its population, consoles arent that popular.

Yeah, many people over 30yrs old mainly play on PC instead of consoles. But I can assure you teens and twens are far mor into console gaming than PC gaming.

The ps3 is selling that well in Europe because of the cheaper 12G model. Deal with it.

Yup i stand for what i say. And yes in my mind the ps3 has outshipped the 360.

so it is 77m?  where are the other 5m then?

eh I wouldn't say that. Every single console owner I know has a gaming PC. Though many of them own two consoles.
But even then you couldn't say that they are more into console gaming.

Wii U numbers are sad, and won't pick up till some games are announced. Hopefully, Nintendo has a killer lineup planned for E3.

Although PC -centric, I  bet console sales are still not on a decline there and still have a valid contirbution when PS3 is concerned. It has an overall strong brand image outside UK. No denying that.

Yeah playing with a mouse & keyboard is way better than a dedicated controller 'LOL'

Playstation 3 is down 35% from last year. For comparision last year it was down 0% at this point and it still ended up down 20% for the year. No more 10mil+ years from current gen consoles =(. Not going to even be close. 

Those Wii U numbers are also scary low considering how bad they will be once the holiday period in Japan is over.

360 will close the gap a bit when Japan's holiday is over, but its clear that a new console is needed by the end of the year, or next year during the summer we will be seeing sub 50k weeks.

 

As for software. Happy to see halo 4 is ahead of black ops 2 in both the US and UK. I wish the rest of Europe would follow suit. 

Pretty crazy that 3 fallout titles are in the top 100 in the US this week. Although I guess I do remember fallout New Vegas making the npd charts over a year after launch. Bethesda will likely have another huge hit when they release fallout 4. Clearly there is still a lot of interest in the IP.
