@XtremeBG Although you're never going to believe me, it really isnt me lol.

Also I agree on your PS2 point. It doesnt make any sense because PS2 will no doubt have better legs due to it releasing in regions later in its life.

However, your other comparisons aren't much better because those are all much worse selling platforms or had alternative reasons for their collapse (Wii:Nintendo dropped its support/PS4: Sony stopped making them due to the chip shortage) and didnt play any role for their predecessors the way Switch is for Switch 2 ie budget friendly Switch. There is no perfect comparison really. Even if I brought up GB/GBC, GBA, and/or 3DS, those platforms all have some caveat that makes the comparison weak for them as well.

Long story short, no comparison is perfect and Switch is obviously slowing down but it's also incredibly close. Less than 7 million to go with support in route. A Dragon Ball Z game was annouced for Switch that PS4/One never got for example. Thats weird lol.

One of the few posts from you that I can fully agree with. (not including the first sentence of course that is you all the way).

Of course every console is different than others, and Switch may have different ending, but of course we can't know the future and the only thing we can do is compare it to other consoles legs. The only outlier of legs in the end, and specifically last 2-3 years of life, since I compared those, is the PS2, and Gameboy maybe but that was also outlier case by itself since it got like 2nd life. Every other console than that made no more than 2M in it's last 2-3 years on the market. And that was simply my point. If switch end up like most with doing no more than 1.5M or 2M in it's last 2-3 years on the market, then it will surely need to reach that 158M by the end of 2026. Everything is possible, but the most likely outcome in that time in a console life is what the most had (the 1.5M or 2M is also the most optimistic one cuz many of the others had even less than 1M in that period), also I included those from the hardware by date tool, I only didn't include the failures like Vita and Wii U, and the outliers like PS2 and Gameboy, since it's now almost sure Switch won't have PS2 legs, and won't have 2nd life like Gameboy.

If you made such posts pointed to the argument themselves and the comparisons when there are such, we could save a lot of time and arguments, not talking about my intentions, bias, behaviour or whatever else. Cuz just like I wrote in my previous post, even in the case you were right for all these accusations (which you are not) it doesn't make a difference for anything, neither you can change them, neither they will change the future and the sales of Switch. So the only result we are getting from this, is pointless arguments and SPAM for everyone else here. Cuz all of this is SPAM. Making posts about anything different than what this or any other thread is is SPAM. And people are not here to read what are the intentions, bias, behaviours or whatever stuff like this on whoever poster, they are here to read stuff about the consoles or the Switch in this particular thread.
