Based on the latest data the following conclusions can be made:

• XBOX Series 2024 vs Nintendo Switch 2024 in USA

Nintendo Switch pulled ahead on this one by almost 200k in November, December will be interesting.

• Nintendo Switch vs DS'11 (9.4M) vs PSP'07 (12.8M)

Nintendo Switch pulled ahead of DS, and is about on the middle point between PSP'07 and DS'11 performance with 9.3M to date.

• PlayStation 5 vs Nintendo Switch'19 (19.3M)
  

PS5 pulled ahead in November, with massive 4M sales Worldwide thus making the gap almost 1M again with the NSW'19 year.

• XBOX Series vs XB360'13 (6.3M) vs XB1'20 (4M)

Xbox Series finally passing the total 4M sales of the XB1'20 year, leaving enough of a gap to be made for December.

@Norion it looks like you may end up right about this one after all, December sales should be at worst equal to November, and at best well, they can reach 1M, given the performance it had in November. So 5M may be possible after all. I didn't expected almost 800k sales in holiday month with sales dropping as low as 50-60k weekly in the year. And at this point, I really doubt we will see a weak December with something like 500k, so 5M is almost sure, although still way lower than your initial 7M prediction at the start of the year.
