Breakdown:

• Switch barely lost to the Wii year of 5.1M with 4.9M
• Switch barely lost to the PSP year in the US of 1.24M, doing 1.22M
• Switch lost to the PSP year in the EU of 1.4M, doing 1.3M

• PS5 barely lost to PS4's 2015 year by just 25k
• PS5 lost to Xbox 360's 2007 year in the US of 4.35M, doing 4.1M
• PS5 beat the Switch 1's 2021 year in the EU of 6.1M and even barely passed it's best year (2020) in the EU of 6.87M, by doing 6.98M.

• Xbox Series lost to the Wii U's peak year of 3.57M by more than a million
• Xbox Series lost to the 3DS's 2018 year in the US of 1.53M by doing 1.4M
• Xbox Series lost to the DS's 2012 year in the EU of 715K, doing only 615K.

The funny is thing is I intended that as a worst case scenario comparison but multiple price increases and them completely giving up on selling it was indeed the worst case scenario. Also thanks for doing these threads, they're pretty interesting to keep track of.
