So Switch sold over 3.2 million this year in 2024? That's a pretty good hold compared to last year considering the massive advantages (Zelda ToTK and Mario Movie) and its pretty good overall especially at this age. Pretty sure PS platforms sale between 3 to 4 million most years besides the peak years. That should give you an idea of how good selling over 3 million for any playform is especially one thats about to be replaced. The way some people on the site act, you would think Switch is only still selling in Japan. Yet Switch sold more in US than Japan this year. Keep in mind, what Switch has sold in Japan is higher than all PS and Xbox consoles have sold in the US besides PS2, PS1, and Xbox 360. That's how absurd Switch is doing in Japan and Switch in the US hasnt collapsed at all.
Edit: This also serves a reminder to people that think you can just apply a random percentage decline without considering context. The biggest declines between 2023 and 2024 for Switch were seen during the launch of Zelda and Mario movie but as time went on those declines lessened because the affects of Zelda and Mario movie wore off. Switch 2024 vs 2025 may not see those major declines because nothing besides Nintendo Switch 2 could give 2024 that much of an advantage. I could even see some months being up due to 2025 having a far bigger game (Pokemon ZA) than 2024 had all year.
