I must admit, I enjoyed GTA San Andreas back in the days, mostly because me and my friend used to activate a lot of cheats just to have fun. But I'm not a fan of this series. Yes, I tried GTA V, but after a couple of hours, I gave up.

Since I didn't liked it, maybe I'm not the best person to talk about it, but I can't believe that after more than a decade, this game is still ranking at the top 10 sellers at a lot of places around the world.

As of November 2024, the game has sold over 205 million units worldwide, and the question is: Will any game ever outsell it? Do you think GTA VI can do it? Or maybe we'll be surprised with a unexpected game that will come to dethrone it?

I think it's going to be hard. Even for GTA VI.

Minecraft has sold more but for future games GTA 6 seems likely since it'll probably last as long as 5 has and video games will be significantly more popular in the 2025-2037 period compared to 2013-2025. Hell it could take even longer than that for GTA 7 to come out.

Ignoring Minecraft i think GTA 6 def will, mostly because i believe they're gonna make some singleplayer DLC, and they already have the foundation on all the Online stuff, GTA Online for GTA 5 was fucking shit for a few months at first until the first few big updates came, i don't see that being the case this time around so let's say 6 months after GTA 6 came out and the hype around the story mode runs out Online will be there and fully loaded with content for the players jumping in

I think GTA 6 will do it for sure. It's anticipation is bigger than any game in history and the hype for it is bigger than ever since fans waited 12+ years for it to release, adding to the exclusivity and hype around a release like this. Even many non-gamers will probably be curious about the hype through word of mouth and buy the game themselves.

I'm surprised you gave up on GTA5 so easily. What were your reasons for doing so? It's funny, but I gave up on GTA4 after about 30 mins. I couldn't get past an early mission. However, I've beaten GTA5 twice so far.

Nope. Not even GTA6, this is a case of double dipping cross gen and people migrating from xbox to ps4. The cards will never fall into place like this again.
