All comparisons and charts have been updated and adjusted with the data for December.

  • PlayStation 5 vs Wii in EU (33M)

was changed to:

  • PlayStation 5 vs PlayStation 4 in EU (45.8M)

Comparisons for the Switch 2 will be replacing the ones for the Switch 1 (which will be added to my archive thread named Historical Consoles Showdown) starting with the next monthly update.

The Switch Europe comparison was at one time with the PS4 competitor. However it was too far from it, and that's why I change it to more closer one - the Wii US. But there wasn't closer. Switch might not reach it at almost 42M.
