All exceptional games that I would rank as A-score and among the best on the years they got released
Making this rank confirms to be Souls are far and away the best gaming subgenre right now. I'm having trouble enjoying other kinds of action battlr games because all I want to play is souls like
Souls-like is a genre I should get quite the appeal but aside from watching a few people play DS1 and Elden Ring, it's just not something I think I could enjoy much ...
Although, I'm eager to try the upcoming Another Crab's Treasure since it promises to simply be more approachable and I kinda like it's aesthetic and atmosphere more than the typical grim-dark fantasy the subgenre has been mostly known for.
Maybe this could convince me to plunge into the actual Dark Souls series at some point, who knows. I did have a similar opinion with Meteoidvanias before playing Samus Returns on 3DS

So many games are called souls here... anyway.
1- Bloodborne.
2- Elden Ring.
3- Dark souls.
4- Dark souls 3.
5-Demon's souls.
6- Dark souls 2.
now...
Calling Nioh souls is "ok", i think... i mean, i think Nioh is more "Diablo" than "Souls", but i can see the deep conection with souls.... Anyway, loved Nioh 1 & 2., but not souls in my book.
Hollow knight and Blasphemous Souls !? No sir., not at all. both great games, but not souls, more like Metroidvania....
1. Bloodborne
2. Dark Souls III
3. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
I played about an hour of Dark Souls Remastered (need to get back to it), but I can't fairly rank it.

7. Dark Souls 3

9. Lords Of The Fallen
Only played a bit of Sekiro, Blasphemous, Salt & Sanctuary and The Surge, so I wont rank them.
Personally I think it's a rather questionable term since many games reffered to as Soulslikes are just ARPGs or dark and difficult games in other genres. I can understand Hollow Knight a little because it very clearly borrows some of Souls original elements, but haven't played any other games where I think it makes sense. Anyways I'll just rank the From Soft games where it's obviously applicable:
Haven't Played Sekiro or Demon's Souls.
