Forums - Nintendo - September Partner Showcase Direct announced

This was the best one yet by a big margin, seems after the negative reception to the first two they made this one much better. This combined with the Mario and Zelda announcements would've made for a solid general September direct so after a period of silence the past couple weeks have been really nice.

I'm sure it was an original direct schedule by late August everyone was talking about. It would be this mini, the last mini, Pikimin, Hyrule Warrior and Mario Direct plus maybe a few other release they are save for December

Why Nintendo decided to split them? No idea, but I really do enjoy those weekly mini drops

Maybe they now think splitting stuff works better than announcing multiple things at once which makes sense since then everything gets its chance in the spotlight and things don't get overshadowed nearly as much. I personally much prefer multiple big announcements in one big presentation so I hope normal directs come back and aren't gone for good.

I guess they thought Japanese sales weren’t high enough yet. Also, WiiU has no games left to port, so they’re moving on to XBox One.

Quite big for a Mini. Just like the cars that call themselves Mini these days...

Wish Empire of Sin had also gotten a release date. I'm pretty interested into this game since it's reveal 2 years ago.

Xenoblade Chronicles X cries in a corner.

I felt this Direct was reading my mind at a couple of points:

During Disgaea 6, I'm thinking, "Haven't played a Disgaea since the first one, which I actually liked.  Need to give this series another chance, but not sure if I'll prefer 5 or 6.  Guess I'll wait until--HOLY CRAP I can play Disgaea 5 for free.  Yep, I'm doing that and then I'll see if I like it and maybe buy 6."

During Ori and the Will of the Wisps, I'm thinking, "This game looks fun and so does the first one.  Not sure if I'll ever play them though since they are digital only.  Guess I'll wait until--OH MY GOD they have the physical versions of both games in one collector's edition!  YES!  YES!  YES!"

Missed it earlier but saw most of what was announced. Thought i'd give it a watch just now. I have to say it was pretty good! Not a great deal there aside from Rune factory for me personally but having said that, there was so much content. Pretty much something for everyone. They crammed so much into it! Must have been an absolutely amazing direct for some.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

I'm sure it was a complete coincidence that Nintendo announces a new Monster Hunter the day after the PS5 showcase because everyone knows they don't compete with each other.

Japanese third parties really pulling through with the Switch, Nintendo better has tons of stock ready for when the MH games come out (especially the mainline one). Weird that Square's been so silent about Bravely Defult II tho, wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't come out this year, but who knows lol.

Soon is TGS, maybe we get more info about Bravely then.

They've been having some kind of presentation like weekly or every 2 weeks now for a while, not their fault if Sony happens to also have an event.

There will be, at least as part of a collector's edition. But that price tag...

Sounds like today Microsoft lost me as a customer.

This is like the 4th time they lost you this year. Are you a masochist or something that you keep going back?
