Might as well get to the next set of clues.

#45

  • The game that introduced the main villain's children into the series, though in later games this has been retconned and these days they are just the villain's minions.

#44

  • Some really brittle weapons in this one

#43

  • The Core and the Arm

#42

  • Even more rats

#41

  • A rhythm game built around the music of one of the few video game series that could support an entire game with just its music

#45 Super Mario Bros 3 (referring to the Koopalings)?

#44 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

#41 Donkey Konga?

Yes, yes, and no.

  • The Core and the Arm

I'm going to guess Fires of Rubicon? Because that's probably the best Armored Core game.

Not a bad guess, but no. Haven't actually played it yet, though I do have the game.

Two down, three to go. Here's another set of hints.

#45: Super Mario Bros. 3

  • The game that introduced the main villain's children into the series, though in later games this has been retconned and these days they are just the villain's minions.

#44: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

  • Some really brittle weapons in this one

#43:

  • The Core and the Arm
  • A four-thousand-year conflict between the two sides

#42:

  • Even more rats
  • She really just can't catch a break

#41

  • A rhythm game built around the music of one of the few video game series that could support an entire game with just its music
  • This was the first home console entry in the spin-off series, having had two handheld titles and an arcade release before this one, as well as another game based on a different series of RPGs

#42: Plague tale: Requiem

#41: Theatrythm Final Fantasy, and it must be Final Bar Line based on the second hint.

Yes, correct on both.

50) Pyrite Town

Shadow is not a type in this series but it is an important mechanic in this game

The legendary "monster" on the cover is also a shadow version of it's usual self

A spinoff of the most famous monster catching franchise

49) You can power-up your power-ups in this old school racer

A fully powered speed boost will make you teleport forward on the track through a worm hole which as expected is completly busted

You can also build your own car and driver out of a famous type of blocks

This franchise is best known for teaming up with other IPs like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman and most recently Horizon

48) This licensed property is more known for its fighting games, but this one is a turn-based card game

You can spend your turn powering up

Or on various beam attacks, including an extremely iconic one

Spiky yellow hair

47) Now this is how you control a platformer

All you need is two buttons and a sound sensor

Collect banans by the tree-load

I can't believe Donkey Konga is better known than this game

46) Everybody knows you're only wanted as long as there are signs proclaiming it

Spin to win

The protagonist of this game was apparently considered OP in MultiVersus at launch

The tazmanian devil

2024 OpenCritic Prediction Leagues:

Nintendo | PlayStation | Multiplat

#49 - You can't use the signature moves of the series in this title, but you can use some other person's equipment instead.

  1. It's a Metroidvania kind of game where you have to go back to previous places once you found the necessary equipment to get to new places in them.
  2. While the signature move are missing, the main character is still attacking with the hair.
  3. Among the items you can get are a hat that lets you float longer in the air, boots to run really fast and a cannon that fires down for multiple-jumping.

#45 - A Jump'n run on a Disney license

  1. You can choose which stage you want to go, though one is not really accessible until you got something from another stage first
  2. Halfway through the levels, there's a character who can bring you back to your home base and level select screen, but he will only do this once per level.

#44 - An RTS that becomes more of a 4x over time in space and in real-time

  1. With every rank increase, the playable part of the game world map increases, and with it what you can build and research
  2. The world evolves around the scope of the game very independently, meaning some factions may be eradicated before you get a chance to meet them in the storyline.

#43 - A base-building game where your handful of people must survive the end of the world, as hell has taken over.

  1. First you just need to survive, but after a while your group of survivors will do things like farming, crafting, both scientific and occult research, build shrines for rituals and an alchemic table complete with a philosopher's stone.

#42 A very long turn-based Fantasy game with clear influences at Civilization, Master of Magic and Heroes of Might & Magic.

47. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call (3DS)

Rhythm Games live and die on the strength of their soundtracks. This rhythm game features over 200 songs from the Final Fantasy series, a series where basically every major entry has a renowned soundtrack.

I don't think I need to explain much more.

No. 46 Tales of Arise

Fantastic JRPG, hurt only by a hesitance to continue the story in act three which hurt it's pacing and a confusion as to how to transition into the final section and ending. Everything else is fantastic right down to the optional character dialogue system which you can opt in or ignore and something more JRPG's need to adopt. Great combat system, Great story, great characters and a great time.
