Around the Network

Kirby and the Forgotten Land sold 2.65 million copies as of March 31st.

Metroid Dread is now officially the best selling Metroid game at 2.9 million copies sold

Legends Arceus JUST missed out on the Top 10. It's at #13 behind NSMBU Deluxe and Splatoon 2.

Nintendo's projections for the next Fiscal Year (4/22 - 3/23) are up.

They plan to ship 21 million units of hardware and 210 million units of software.
Both of which would be down from their latest figures of 23.06 million units of hardware and 235.07 million units of software for this past Fiscal Year that just wrapped up.

That would make it 4 years of over 20 million units sold for the Switch - A feat that only the DS has ever accomplished.

Yeah, the Switch ain't goin' nowhere.

Tbh no surprises here. Switch selling around 4 Million completely met expectations and the software sales are high as usual. Nice to see Dread officially become the greatest selling Metroid of all time, but it likely won't go any further than 3 Million as it only sold 0.16M this quarter, but still good growth for the series.

What's impressive is that Nintendo is expecting a 21 Million year for a console in its 6th fiscal year. No console in history has ever sold that much in its 6th fiscal year as the two highest were the DS and PS4 each selling 18 Million during their 6th fiscal year, a 21 Million fiscal year would comfortably beat that record.

The Wii U sold 30k software and the 3DS 560k. The Switch sold 55.77mil software.

39 million sellers. 26 from Nintendo, 13 from third parties in the fiscal year.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 9.94mil copies in the fiscal year.

NSMBUDX is very short of outselling NSMB2 that has now reached 13.4mil.

Pokémon BD/SP is now the best selling Pokémon remake and Pokémon Let's Go is the second best selling remake, both ahead of OR/AS at 14.5mil.

Clubhouse Games getting an update came out of nowhere for me. Incredible legs.

To bad Super Mario Maker 2 didn't get an update.

Yeah I am surprised by Nintendo's high expectations for the NSW going into its 6th fiscal year. However we have to keep in mind Nintendo's 1st fiscal year was about 1 month long compared to most consoles having 5 months.

This next fiscal year will be quite interesting, because I am curious about which markets will do the heavy lifting.

Hardware model split: 1.81mil OLED model, 1.77mil OG model and 530k Lite model.

102mil annual playing users.

They released 15 games in the fiscal year, if counting Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shinning Pearl as one and not counting Triangle Strategy and SMT V.

Software forecast 210mil, hardware forecast 21mil.

Software sales last fiscal year were 235.07mil. They expect software to ve down yoy.

Hardware sales is about what you'd expect. Sofware sales is quite impressive, but considering they had Arceus this quarter, that's of course where a good portion it comes from. Interesting that they're predicting to ship 21m next fiscal year, a drop of only ~2m. Wonder if they have anything planned to keep demand that high as well, because I'm sure it would be no problem with a price-cut, but I don't see them doing that with everything becoming more expensive these days.

Kirby seems to be off to a good start, though I kinda wish they had revealed sell-through for a bit more than 2 weeks, since that's already crossing into the next quarter anyways. It's still sticking around on a lot of software charts, so there's a good chance sell-through has reached those 2.65m shipped by now.
