Well Richard Ojeda announced he is running today that would be my top pick so far.

Had to look into him. I like him quite a bit. He's actually the type of candidate dems need most right now, but could see them trying to cast him off as a Trump supporter with a D after his name. Shame he hasn't won any election yet, he could do wonders in our government.

Well he was Trump supporter for about a minute before he saw through his bullshit.

Looks like Tom Steyer will be close to announcing a run also. Another pretty good candidate. His only fault is that he raised money for Hillary in 2016 but that is not any worse then Ojeda falling for Trumps bullshit for a while.

We just need someone sensible and grounded like Neil deGrasse Tyson

Now that would be interesting. I wonder if he has considered it?

How about Bill Nye the climate change guy? He's being called a "science statesman" now and has a recent documentary about himself where it's made quite clear he loves the spotlight and wants to be as famous as possible.

The Dems do like their progressive ways, and they were already able to elect a black president. Tyson for President, Nye for VP. However, Tyson does tend to bobble and talk with his hands like Trump though.

Tyson is in Nye's documentary and I think they work together to some extent already.

Maybe not? Neil might even have skeletons in his closet. This would be quite shocking if true.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Nobody, might as well concede the 2020 election to Trump.

Bernie with Beto as his running mate.

Bernie is imo the best choice, but he's getting pretty old, so dying is a real risk with him as president. Hence why I would want to pick a very competent running mate and not someone who got kicked upstairs (as the VP has almost no powers at all when the president is still alive, it was once usual practice to send someone as running mate who was considered a troublemaker to bind him for 4 years)

Well, Bernie and Liz Warren are in.
Warren led the way and Bernie is making a huge splash.

Ojeda... I felt kind of bad for the guy. He seemed to have the right idea, but didn't seem to be the best fit for the campaign game... at least not right now. It's an honest thing for him to do to drop out so people "don't waste their money" -- but unfortunately, it hurts his brand in the long term to NOT waste people's money in a losing effort. It shouldn't be that way, but it is.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

What are people's take on Tulsi Gabbard. I'm somehow just finding out about her now, and holy crap, I feel like I may have FINALLY found my candidate! Even over Bernie, or AOC (who I feel like is looking crazier and crazier the more I follow her, though she's still too young to run anyway). Tulsi seems like that (kinda sorta) common ground between Bernie and Ron Paul I've been searching for.

Where do I begin..

- Sensible on many issues, seems very genuine and articulate.
- (At least one foot) outside the DNC machine.
- An ACTUAL progressive in a way,, but actually Libertarian tinged in some.
- (Anti war/non interventionism, but still seems to understand the importance of a American security/strengh (is even serving in National Guard), pro legalizing weed, anti government spying and Patriot Act, universal health care, raise minimum wage)
- Seems to focus on building bridges and actual positive change, vs most DNC and their media cohorts who have resorted to mudslinging, name calling, fear mongering hysteria, and guilt by association, along with an absurd amount of Trump Derangement Syndrome I'm finding more and more insufferable
- Ties with/supports Bernie/Kucinich - two of the very few remaining Dems I can still tolerate
- She's a millenial (so I'd trust her to be more in touch with our issues)
- Also Hindu which I find pretty neat, especially not being particularly keen on the 3 major Judeo-Christian/Abrahamic religions.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident - all men and women created by the, go-you know.. you know the thing!" - Joe Biden

Bernie won't win because like most grown-ups over the age of 22, they realize socialism doesn't work.

Yeah, seems a shame he already dropped out. he would've been at least nice on the debate stage and would have made profile to run for senate.

Yeah. Really, I would prefer Tulsi (although I think it is unlikely, but people thought that of Trump as well). The US needs to stop it's involvement in wars all over the world, and frankly she is the only candidate who stands for this. Her other policies are great too, although we could get that from Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren too. But she needs to be on the debate stage, to put the topic of War onto the agenda.

And really, if you wanna have someone in the debate, donate them a dollar. The rules ask for 65.000 unique donors, and at least 200 from at least 20 states. But the amount is irrelevant. So even a one-dollar donation helps to bring the candidate into the debates. That is not only true for Tulsi Gabbard, but also other candidates with interesting ideas, like Pete Buttigieg and Andrew Yang.
