Ojeda... I felt kind of bad for the guy. He seemed to have the right idea, but didn't seem to be the best fit for the campaign game... at least not right now. It's an honest thing for him to do to drop out so people "don't waste their money" -- but unfortunately, it hurts his brand in the long term to NOT waste people's money in a losing effort. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. |
Yeah, seems a shame he already dropped out. he would've been at least nice on the debate stage and would have made profile to run for senate.

Even over Bernie, or AOC (who I feel like is looking crazier and crazier the more I follow her, though she's still too young to run anyway). Tulsi seems like that (kinda sorta) common ground between Bernie and Ron Paul I've been searching for.
Where do I begin..
- Sensible on many issues, seems very genuine and articulate. - (At least one foot) outside the DNC machine. - An ACTUAL progressive in a way,, but actually Libertarian tinged in some. - (Anti war/non interventionism, but still seems to understand the importance of a American security/strengh (is even serving in National Guard), pro legalizing weed, anti government spying and Patriot Act, universal health care, raise minimum wage) - Seems to focus on building bridges and actual positive change, vs most DNC and their media cohorts who have resorted to mudslinging, name calling, fear mongering hysteria, and guilt by association, along with an absurd amount of Trump Derangement Syndrome I'm finding more and more insufferable - Ties with/supports Bernie/Kucinich - two of the very few remaining Dems I can still tolerate - She's a millenial (so I'd trust her to be more in touch with our issues) - Also Hindu which I find pretty neat, especially not being particularly keen on the 3 major Judeo-Christian/Abrahamic religions. |
Yeah. Really, I would prefer Tulsi (although I think it is unlikely, but people thought that of Trump as well). The US needs to stop it's involvement in wars all over the world, and frankly she is the only candidate who stands for this. Her other policies are great too, although we could get that from Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren too. But she needs to be on the debate stage, to put the topic of War onto the agenda.
And really, if you wanna have someone in the debate, donate them a dollar. The rules ask for 65.000 unique donors, and at least 200 from at least 20 states. But the amount is irrelevant. So even a one-dollar donation helps to bring the candidate into the debates. That is not only true for Tulsi Gabbard, but also other candidates with interesting ideas, like Pete Buttigieg and Andrew Yang.
