Forums - Gaming - Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag Comparison PS3 vs. PS4

I realise this game isn't necessarily representative of the difference between current gen and the next but with this level of difference you are going to have a hard time convincing Average Joe to throw down 4-500 dollars for a new console.

Again I know there are much better examples of what can be achieved with next gen consoles but there are a very large number of people out there that use their consoles for the yearly iterations of FIFA, Madden, COD and not much else.

Well, that was depressing. Mostly when it looked like he had 'plastic hair frag' on top of his hair. Something I notice quite often in other Assassin's Creed games.

Hopefully it will look better and more different in person.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Too little windows + youtube, to really judge things like texture quality etc. Overall a few differences, less blur which is nice, but nothing major.

Is it going to be 1080p60 on PS4?

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

The difference is honestly not that big, sure textures are better, everything is sharper but obviously not night and day.

I wonder how the WiiU version will stack up against the PS3 version

That video doesn't show a significant difference. Not enough to motivate people to upgrade.

I would hope the PS4 version runs at a much higher frame rate and have better draw distance.

Reminds me of Gun on Xbox vs 360. Current gen game upscaled. The difference in this case being that the current gen version looks pretty good to start with.

€dit: posted from my phone and didn't watch the video. Ok the video itself is split in two parts and has huge black bars, forget my post haha

There is definitely a difference in water, but thats about it. Not interested in the series anymore so I dont care.

why does like every third guy in this thread say that the window is too small? don't you all just watch youtube videos of games posted in threads like this in full screen?

didn't really think people watch them in the size they are posted in.

You're still only watching each video on part of your screen and the general assumption is that your monitor is a lot smaller than your TV which you play games on. Added to that, YouTube 1080p isn't as good as the actual thing

Still doesn't change the low-poly look of both versions.
