1.) The first point isn't a disadvantage, because people seeking likes leads them to having funnier/more interesting/informative posts, so that is an advantage IMO.

2.) The second point isn't nessessarliy true IMO. If what a person could add to a conversation can be substituted by them 'liking' it, then perhaps it's better if they didn't post in the first place.

No, it's unnesary in my opinion.

Plus, I don't want my posts to be liked more than the rest of the page, I'd feel guilty.

I know this thread is supposed to be for the general community, but I'll reiterate that I don't agree with the idea. I can't really think of any good forum that has such a thing, and it's really pretty unnecessary. As far as spam on Vgchartz goes, let's be honest. It's not from people saying they agree with posts. I can think of FAR worse things on the forums than someone responding to a post with "this." You would accomplish far more in combating spam from banning 2-3 posters than you would from adding a Like button.
