The Switch 2 released exactly one year ago today, in Japan/Asia/Oceania at least, tomorrow for our friends in Europe and America.

This time last year I was in the process of unboxing mine:

Can't believe it's been a year already, it has absolutely flown by at light speed. 

Happy Birthday Switch 2; here's to the road ahead! If you're one of those who picked one up, what are some of your highlights from its first year?

I've had mine since mid-August last year and that is tough to believe. And it's tough to believe it's a year-old now.
If I never had a Switch and didn't have PlayStation consoles, I would have put an insane amount of time into Switch 2 so far. As is, I don't think I've put much more than 100 hours into it yet even including some backwards compatible titles.

Crazy, time flies by these days...

Insane to think 1 year already

Think it might actually be the first console I got day one. Can't say I've got much use out of it so far, but I should definitely buy DK at some point as I'm sure I'll probably enjoy it.

DK is great fun, at least I thought so anyway.  Either that or RE Requiem is the best game I've played on the system so far.

It's definitely had a really strong first year with it having sold over 20m already. 2027 will need huge hits to keep momentum from dropping too much after the price increase but it seems both Pokemon gen 10 and the next 3D Mario are releasing that year so it's gonna be just fine.

Got two of them on launch day, for my daughter and myself. I have enjoyed it. I still maintain the upgrades to BotW and TotK are worth it alone. 1440p/60fps is a massive upgrade. MP4 at 120 fps was superb. Been a bit dry this year for exclusives (for me), but FE isn't too far off.

The earliest I've got a console. Love the hardware bar the screen, love the abundance of software and BC improvements...

A bit disappointing in the lack of Nintendo titles appealing to me. In that sense it is probably the weakest 12months when I compare it to other Nintendo systrems bar Wii U . DK and Metroid Prime  4 have been my fav titles so far but I think Wii/Switch/Gamecube all gave me a bit more wow factor with their first years with GC:Mario Galaxy,MP3, ZeldaTP/ Switch:BOTW,Odyssey/ GC:Star Fox adventures/Luigi Mansion/Mario Sushine etc

None the less very excited for the future and hoping Nintendo expands a bit to support more modern development needs.

Don't tell me that. It went by way too fast !

But honestly the amount I've played on the device is much more than what the time I had with the Switch in its first year.
Had a great time with my RPGs and Adventure games this year !

Wish I had a slight more time to dedicate to some games I found delightful like Kirby Air Riders or Monster Hunter Stories 3 for example. But games keep on coming ...

Let's just say, I doubt I'll experience a lul with this console like I had with the OG at some moments
